Glimpse of Winter

 A Glimpse of Winter

This week we had a quick glimpse of winter here in Indiana.  Winter always gets my creative juices stirring, almost as much as Spring does.  Well I guess like Fall and Summer do......hummm.  Do you see a pattern here?  I do.  I think the change of seasons is always, for me, a catalyst to jump start or rejuvinate my creativity.

Finding what spurs on you creativity is half the battle when it comes to keeping your artwork new and fresh.   Often, when we go to the easel, pottery wheel, or pile of tiles we have a tendency to revert back to our old way of creating art.  I think the new seasons give me a small push towards doing something different.  When the seasons change, ususally I need to change my format for creating.  Going outdoors is not as easy for me as I get younger......I think Birthdays reverse order after 50.....so with that thinking, I am in the prime of my life!   Let's just say being a flower child is not that far from my memory.

So, open up those paints, bags of clay, tubs of tiles, stained glass....whatever you medium of creating and get going.  A new season is not that far away and we are forever in a season of change no matter what season we are in or about to start.

Creating Art Never Wanes

 Hello fellow Artists,

It seems I only access this periodically.  If you are like me, keeping ups with your art creation, selling the art, restocking your galleries, and connecting with others can be overwhelming.  Hence, this gets put on the back burner.

I am attempting to increase my connections via blogs and podcasts.  My friend and I have been creating a podcast that will hopefully share some of the common obstacles and difficulties with creating art, selling art, and displaying your art in the public.  I will update soon with all the details and how to listen to us.

Until then,

Rejuvenated

Hello Friends,
The twists and turns of life take us in many directions at times.  Directions we do not anticipate.  And at times in the direction we do not want nor enjoy going in, but life always changes and we turn again.  I think through God’s plan and intervention, we seem to redirect back to where we were meant to be all along.  I am overjoyed to be back in a place in life to be more involved in my creation of artwork!  So exciting.  We have added a new studio building and will soon be finishing a new studio space.  As we progress I will share our new experiences on our blog.  Until then... keep those brushes wet!!!!
